Airlines collection of forty-four pages of 195 x 270 mm, with coated paper 150 grs. The color pages are printed on coated paper 250 g with UV gloss lacquer finish. The work includes images seventy-eight B & W color, complemented with twenty-profiles / plan views made specially for the work. Of note is the quality of many of the photographs as well as profiles.

The introduction of the first three McDonnell Douglas DC-9 Super 80 was the beginning of a new era in the history of Southern Airlines. The economic and political difficulties in Argentina at that time, complicated the replacement of the BAC One Eleven by modern DC-9.
There were ups and downs with rescheduling of deliveries, contract modifications, etc.. but ultimately the "MD80" began to operate and in increasing numbers, not just Southern but also in Aerolineas Argentinas. A large number of aircraft of different variants of the MD-80 family members of Argentina's commercial air fleet, although its replacement has begun, it will be possible to see this magnificent aircraft operating for several years.

As editor of this series is really enjoyable to present this work of three well-known commercial aviation enthusiasts national, who joined the selfless contribution of excellent photographers. This is a reflection of the growing and healthy interest observed by the various aspects of our aviation.
